As a public service, we at Thinking Out Loud want to bring you some samples of the other wonderful Public Affairs programming that happens on WUML. Nate has a program called “Which Way the Wind Blows” (4-6 pm Monday) where he puts together a selection of his own and other people’s political statements from the 1960s to now, including the voices of Malcom X, Mumia Abu Jamal, Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn and Michael Parenti among others. Here is a two-hour program from Monday.

This Friday edition of Thinking Out Loud in English includes one of the most exciting interactive discussions of local politics I’ve heard in a long time. Host Lynn Lupien is joined by co-host Charlotte Crockford and her two co-bloggers from “Left in Lowell”, talking about, among other things, Congressman Marty Meehan’s possible nomination for Chancellor of U Mass. Lowell, the recent nudie video scandal involving Lowell Telecommunications Corp. (LTC), and cable coverage of local government. We’re uploading the podcast as I write this, so be patient… it’ll be there shortly.
